Metal Weight Lifting Plates

Olympic weights, specifically metal ones, are an important part of a weightlifters arsenal.  There is no replacement for heavy iron, and that is why we have chosen only high quality weight lifting plates that will last the test of time.  If you are looking for some bumper plates, head over to our other page, but if you are looking for Olympic weights made of metal or metal encased in rubber, then look below.

York Iron Plates

The high quality York plates have been around since the dawn of time.  They are synonymous with weightlifting, and made to last a lifetime.  York plates are milled to within 2% of their indicated weight and should be owned by anyone looking to grab some high quality iron to pack on to their bar.

York Rubber Plates

These Olympic Weights offer all the same benefits as rubber, plus urethane is impact resistant and offers superior bonding, resists splitting, peeling and delaminating.
York applied an ingenious innovation to the standard multi-hole grip plate and developed the ISO-Grip plate, which is one of the easiest plates to pick up and maneuver. By making the hub thicker than the rim, it makes the plate very easy to pick up and you won’t smash your fingers when putting the olympic weight on the bar.  The patent-pending, radical benefit of a thicker hub and a streamlined rim is the anti-pinch nature of using the plates.  The steel composite casting fortifies the structural integrity of the ISO-Grip Plate.
